Been using MythTV with DVB-S for a while as a backend only. I've just started building a dedicated frontend/backend box.

- Asus M2NPV-VM Motherboard
- Toshiba 37X3030D LCD TV
Now dabbling with HD broadcasts from the BBC using the standard DVB-S card.
Myth 0.20 plays live, records and plays back fine, if a little stuttered.
I had thought a DVB-S2 card was required for HD.
