− | Moosy,
| |
− | After installing SuSE 10.2, I attempt to install all the packages specified in the how-to. When I press "Accept", I get prompted stating that MythMusic requires "libcdaudio" and also that "transcode" required "pvm3".

− | I've installed SuSE 10.2 and mythtv five times in the last 2 weeks, on two completely different desktops. Each time I was prompted for those dumb packages. I can only assume they don't come on the 10.2 DVD. That is why I added it to the HOW-TO. The first time I skipped them and things still seemed to work although I didn't do anything with MythMusic to verify that it worked. I'd hate to have transcode not work though.

− | If you don't have libcdaudio installed, try removing and readding your MythMusic and see if you get prompted for anything. YaST is finding the conflict for me.

− | I only suggested the 32-bit because that is what I figured most people installing this would need. If it was my first time installing it and had never done it before, I would like to at least have a suggestion about which to download. If someone understand enough that they know they have a 64-bit machine I can only hope they would know enough to get the 64-bit version.

Making lots of changes
Howdy, and thanks for all the editing on the wiki! With that said, when you are making a large number of changes to one page, could you do a page level edit rather than doing a large number of section edits? This will help prevent the huge number of entries in the change logs - which is especially bad for the "recent changes" log because it makes it that much harder to watch for vandalism. Thanks again!
